Lwandile Dominic Nkanyuza is the perfect DIY artist of the 21st century. As a producer, graphic designer and art director, the South African rapper leaves nothing to chance with his music, artwork and videos, and only rarely do others intervene. As ByLwansta, he’s released the mixtape »NORMVL,« the EP »Your Absolutely Right« and in March of this year, the first chapter of his debut album »SPIJØNGET«. For the first edition of the »Goethe Residency«, the Goethe Talents alum from 2017 is returning to Berlin to whip his latest project into shape – this time, a collaboration. Over four weeks, he’s teaming up with established Berlin composer and producer Robot Koch, who has been steadily crafting a remarkably mature and original sound that expertly combines a deep and cinematic atmosphere, emotional reflection and forward thinking production. Their collaborative live set for Pop-Kultur will definitely be more than just a musical experience.
