The themes that Hamburg musician Ilgen-Nur engages with in her songs are manifold: coming of age, surviving the hell of social-media posturing, attaining matriarchy. In »Live Through This«, Ilgen-Nur gets married to herself. Feminism, post-internet identity and dealing with fame/non-fame become a spatially experienced manifestation of the young artist’s feelings – a powerful statement calling for the recognition of one’s own personality.
