Lisa Morgenstern & Bulgarian Voices Berlin

Berliner pianist, singer and composer Lisa Morgenstern has created a concert programme with Bulgarian Voices Berlin based on the magical harmonies, asymmetrical time signatures and vocal technique of Bulgarian folklore. Correspondingly, media collective Elektropastete out of Hamburg and Berlin has produced generative visuals based on traditional folklore patterns. Bulgarian Voices is an is international women’s choir conducted by Boryana Velichkova that, just like Morgenstern with her Bulgarian roots, explores both authentic and contemporary arrangements. Morgenstern’s new album »Chameleon« combines experimental pop with classical-music influences, and she sang on, recorded and co-produced the choir’s album »Ogreyalo Slanze«.
