Little Annie has worked with Crass as well as with Adrian Sherwood, Coil and dub legend Lee »Scratch« Perry. The artist, writer, painter and ordained minister found her strongest musical partnership, however, with Botanica founder and Swans keyboardist Paul Wallfisch. After 18 years together, on the road and in the studio, they’ve just completed their new album, »Enchantment Or Bust,« featuring the likes of Jim White, Kid Congo Powers, Martin Wenk, Brian Viglione and Kristof Hahn. In describing its seven new compositions and three cover versions, Little Annie says: »It sounds like Lou Reed got together with Miles Davis, phoned up the Stylistics, took good acid and called in Alice Coltrane to put Hindu blessing on it.« Which probably means: more than radical.
