Magic Island Presents »Warm Heaven«

»Magic Island Presents ›Warm Heaven‹« is loosely based on Dante’s »Divine Comedy« and its three cantiche – »Inferno«, »Purgatory« and »Paradise«. In parallel to the themes on Magic Island’s new EP »Warm Heaven,« this performance looks at the struggle of life within the systemic state between desire and reality, and the existential question of what it all means. The Gewölbekeller will be transformed into these three stages, with a focus on Purgatory and Paradise. The audience will enter from »reality« and realise they have arrived in »hell«. In purgatory, the audience will wait for an unknown outcome, uncomfortable and annoyed. From there they will eventually be invited to a »Warm Heaven«. The audience will journey through a »path to paradise,« the struggles of »the system« and the harshness of reality made abundantly clear along the way. Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate!
