Malonda

Achan Malonda doesn’t live in the year 2019 but rather in the year of the moon goddess, meaning she’s always a bit ahead of the Gregorian calendar. Back in the day, the Hamburg-based »Elektrik Diva« played in the musical »The Lion King«, collaborated with the Chixx Clique, lent her voice to producers such as H.O.S.H. or Niconé and wrote Schlager hits for others. Now, though – the year of the moon goddess – her time has arrived. Her six-song debut EP »Mondin« gathers poetry, house grooves, dubstep influences, big melodies and lyrics about blond poisons. Just as you would expect from someone who cites Grace Jones and Hildegard Knef as equal inspirations and wants to change the game along the way. Malona tries to think of inclusive feminism as a form of seduction. Her music is ready for the challenge.
