Mona Mur

Mona Mur – trademarks: dark voice, dramatic performances, heavy music spanning punk, chanson and electronic – made her debut in 1982 as Mona Mur & die Mieter with the EP »Jeszcze Polska,« followed by the LP »Mona Mur« in 1988 and later the lavish »Warsaw,« recorded in 1990 but not released till 2015. Since the 1990s, she's been producing music and sounds for computer games. Her new solo record »Delinquent« follows her recent collaborative albums with En Esch and F.M Einheit, extensive touring in North America and the CD »Those Days Are Over,« based on poems by photographer Miron Zownir, which she will perform at Pop-Kultur on Thursday. With contributions from artists such as Bettina Köster and Anja Huwe, »Delinquent« combines Mona Mur's past with the sound of today through a unique blend of rock 'n' roll and electronic elements. She's bringing it to the stage with Yoyo Röhm, En Esch and Christian St. Claire.
