»I have the feeling we recorded a strange pop album«, says Daniela Weinmann about »All Reality Is Virtual«. The strangeness has already been infecting listeners’ ears since 2016’s »Lighting«, actually. That was the first sign of life from her project, Odd Beholder, completed with James Varghese, followed by the second LP with producer Martin Schenker. »All Reality Is Virtual« tells of strange states: of the collapsing divide between URL and IRL along with all the interpersonal nonsense that happens in between. Even stranger is how easily these big topics get condensed into wonderful pop vignettes.
