What makes up a post-migrant identity? This term, established in migrant research, raises questions not only about individual cases but also about the status quo of society as a whole, which is characterised by a heterogeneous fundamental structure. Journalist Vivan Perkovic will talk with Albanian rapper Dacid Go8lin, composer Lisa Morgenstern, who’s performing with Bulgarian Voices Berlin at Pop-Kultur, and songwriter ANDRRA, who deals with Kosovan migration in her Pop-Kultur commissioned work, about how their own post-migrant experiences are expressed both in everyday life and in their music. How can a post-migrant identity be dealt with in art without reducing it to populist or even nationalistic narratives? How can pop music be a vehicle for discourses that bridge differences among fundamentally divergent experiences?
