Stephen Morris from Macclesfield just outside of Manchester is a founding member of one of the most influential British rock bands of the 20th century. That's right, it's Joy Division. When the group's singer died in 1980, the remaining members, soon complemented by Morris's girlfriend Gillian Gilbert on keyboards (who will be DJing at this year's Pop-Kultur!), continued under the name New Order – to this day, though meanwhile without bassist Peter Hook. The first part of his autobiography »Record Play Pause,« revolving around Joy Division, has just been published, which Mute Records founder Daniel Miller will be talking to him about. Miller released the most recent New Order albums on his label. Will Morris's passion for collecting old military vehicles come up too?
