Shuma is one of the few anthropological research projects located in the club. The Belarusian duo translates their dedication to the pre-Christian traditions and songs of the region into a more varied sonic world, going from loose breakbeats to deep-house grooves and dubby tones, making Shuma's ethnographic and historical approach sound as international as it does contemporary. The 2013 release of their debut EP »Zolak« was followed by the LP »Žnivo« and another three years later, »Sonca«, which further defined this surprising synthesis. Now that singer Rusia and producer Alexei Budzko have been sharing some new songs and videos, the time is ripe for a new album. This, of course, includes appearances to summarise the current state of research for the dancefloor.
