Voodoo Beach are probably doing what Syd Barret's ghost would do, if he were in some desert and took a dive deep into his unconscious, putting the results of his psychonautical session to music with a supergroup comprising equally of cadres from Kyuss and X-Mal Deutschland. With German lyrics, of course. In short, Voodoo Beach are probably the coolest band in the world or at least the saviours of psych-rock. For their debut EP »Ocean« on Späti Palace, bandmates Verita Vi, Ignacy San, Josephine O and Jon van Mono peeled off the colors of the genre and gave it a new coat with five dust-dry songs with post-punk brashness. In short, Voodoo Beach make everything current and will definitely continue to do so in the future.
