Léonie Pernet unites so many talents into one life that it can get confusing. In 2014, the drummer, singer and composer debuted on Kill The DJ, the legendary label from the club night of the same name at Le Pulp in Paris, but was also active in bands such as Yuksek. Her first full-length »Crave«, released via InFiné, features a divergence of guests, including Chloé Raunet from C.A.R. and Kill The DJ co-founder Ivan Smagghe, but also quotes Marguerite Duras. Navigating between pop, modern composition techniques and electronic music, »Crave« emerged from the lonely seclusion of her Paris studio yet still creates connections – cultural, musical, emotional. That may seem confusing, but above all it provides plenty of insight.
