Pop music tells stories; pop music creates images. But Maarja Nuut is no ordinary pop musician. After exploring the improbable border between folkloristic forms and minimal music-inspired electroacoustics on her debut »Soolo« and adding her voice to the mix on the LP »Une Meeles« in 2016, the violinist and singer from Tallinn widened the stylistic spectrum for »Muunduja« last fall together with Hendrik Kalujärv a.k.a. Ruum to include electronic sounds and the occasional groove. It's no surprise, then, that these two musicians go even further with their concerts – it's only logical. Live visuals entwine Nuut's mystically shaped lyrics and the duo's musical dialogue into an intermedial story that is rarely heard or seen in pop music.
